Understanding Frame Measurements

Most frames carry three numbers printed on the inside of one temple arm, for example 52–18–140. Each is a millimetre measurement.

The three numbers

• Lens width — the horizontal width of one lens opening. Larger numbers sit wider on the face.
• Bridge width — the gap between the two lenses, where the frame rests on your nose.
• Temple length — the full length of the arm, including the bend that goes over your ear.

Using them to compare

If a pair you already own fits well, note its numbers and look for frames within roughly 2 mm on each measurement. Every Tasnim Optics product page lists these values under Frame measurements.
